First time cruising on Disney. I’m staying in the Concierge area. Are fish extenders done in that area?

Yes, people in concierge participate in Fish Extenders just like everyone else. The concierge staterooms are not sealed off from the rest of the ship- anyone can access those hallways.

OP does not mention on what ship they will cruise. On the classic ships, Magic and Wonder, the Concierge staterooms are mixed in with regular staterooms. You need to pay close attention to distinguish them (they have a doorbell, or a sign for the Walt and the Roy suites). We've often seen FE's on Concierge staterooms on those two ships.

On the newer ships, Dream and Fantasy, the Concierge staterooms are in their own section. While not blocked off to regular guests, they are not hallways used to go somewhere else on the ship. We've rarely seen FE's in that section of the ship, but they can be accessed if you wish to hang one up.

if you wish to hang one up.
I believe DCL is not allowing Fish Extenders currently.

EDIT: From the "Know Before You Go" section on DCL website (last updated 1/13/22):
Hanging Gift Bags on Stateroom Doors (Fish Extenders)
Door-to-door gift exchanges (via “fish extenders”) among Guests are not permitted at this time.

But, true, when they were allowed, Concierge rooms can be included. This wasn't true when the Dream first started to cruise, as there were gates (locked, only accessible with Concierge key card) into that area. But they've been removed.

I'll just add that we've always done Fish Extenders when cruising, and concierge staterooms have routinely been included. We were not concierge, and had no problem going into the concierge hallways on every ship (we've sailed them all) to deliver gifts to concierge staterooms. Non-concierge guests are allowed to go there, just as they are allowed to go to any other stateroom hallway.
