You've got to try these at the Irish pub in Pleasure Island CS. Let me tell you----these blow away the fish & chips at Rose & Crown. Even my picky British fiance who refused to eat the Rose & Crown ones finally admitted after eating half of mine that they were actually "proper".

Ooooh, I love GOOD fish and chips. Can I assume these are not really big because of all the fried batter? That is my complaint at R&C, way too much batter. Can I also assume that they do not overcook the fish??? Thanks for the tip!

Not overcooked---the chips were perfect and thick, and the batter was the right batter, not the breadcrumb batter---yuck! Oh, and btw, noticed you're from Cary---that's where I lived before I moved to Orlando!

It is a small world, isn't it? Which do you prefer, NC or FL? I lived in Jupiter FL for 10 years before I moved here. I am originally from RI, where I became a fussy fish and chip eater, and those sound great! Thank you :thumbsup2
