I've heard about the fish and chips at Rose and Crown, and the counter service place nearby (Yorkshire Country Fish Shoppe?). Looking at Yorkshires' menu on Debs' site, it looks like they only have snack size fish and chips (2 pieces). I was hoping that we could do an outside meal here, instead of doing sit-down at Rose and Crown. Any experiences? Opinions on the food?

TIA

We have had the Fish and Chips at Yorkshire Fish house.. it was good, but I wasn't that overly impressed. Yes, the only size they had was the 2 piece snack, so if you are looking for a more substantial meal, you may want to make PS for late afternoon, before the the dinner rush at Rose and Crown.

The fish and chips at Yorkshire are ok at best, we were very disappointed, and we have given it several chances. The food inside rose/crown is bland.

I would recommend skipping both places.

I was disappointed with the f&c at R&C. If you dine at R&C try the prime rib or the meat pie sampler.

i personally love the fish and chips there!! i don't know why, i just love the flavor...and yes, they only serve the snacksize serving...for a more substantial meal, i'd go inside to R&C...never eaten there, but have heard good things about it!

remember, just because someone else doesn't like it, doesn't mean that you'll dislike it too!! form your own opinions!!! i learned that one with alfredo's. everyone gave it such negative reviews but we decided to try it anyway. i'm so glad that we did! we loved it!!

good luck!!!

Hi,
When I ate at the Fish and Chips place I thought it was pretty good. The price was high for what you got but it tasted ok. However a few hours later I was extremely ill and I hadn't eaten anywhere else. I was still sick the next day so I missed out on one of our park days. My suggestion is use caution when eating there. If something doesn't taste or look right send it back. I would however suggest R&C.

Hey give it a shot, its not a bad snac but you must enjoy it with a woodpeckers hard cider

You could always do like I did one day, I wanted to try more than one kind of food for lunch, so I had the Fish and Chips Snack (with Malt Vinegar of course) in England, and then walked over to Mexico and had a Sampler Platter.

Thanks for the replies! If it's comparable to LJS's or AT's, my family will be happy enough!

Penn, I love your idea!!! I'm not a fan of Mexican, but I'm sure something will catch my eye. I'll just make it a progressive dinner, lol!

If the area isn't reserved for a private party, just to the right of the Fish & Chips place, there is a lower level are with seating right at the edge of World Showcase Lagoon. If you're going for an end-of-the-day meal and you don't mind staking out your spot, this is a really good place to watch IllumiNations. If you get there early enough, you can have a bench right by the rail, so you get an unobstructed view!
