First weekend of May or the last?

We are season pass holders in driving distance. We want to go for a birthday weekend trip.....is the last weekend in May going to be crazy (summer) busy already? I know early May is not yet a busy time.

In our experience the end of May was both busier and hotter, but not 4th of july busy. That said, even the "slow" seasons seem to be picking up lately...

The first weekend is a 3-5 crowd level.

The last weekend is a 7-9 Crowd level.

I am going 2nd week of May. All week has 5s, except for weekend when Star Wars Weekends starts.

I have been for 1st week of May before and the crowds are much better than later May. Right after Memorial Day there is a significant difference.

First week, no doubt. We will be there that time because if the 3-5 level crowds compared to the 7s and 9s that come with Memorial Day at the end if the month.

The further you get into May the closer you get to the rainy season. There is a significant change in the weather from May 1 to May 31. In my experience it goes from dry and warm to humid, hot and rainy.

However, if you want to hit Star Wars Weekends, I would go the last weekend!

We have been to WDW over Memorial Day weekend and it honestly wasn't too bad. (We have also gone several times in July, so it's all relative, haha.)

This year we will be at MK the first weekend in May to meet up with out-of-state family members who are also visiting at that time. It looks like the new Seven Dwarves Mine Train will be opening then. So maybe MK might be busier than usual?

Last weekend of May. Ha! Ha! I am going the first weekend, so the fewer the better! J/K First weekend has fewer crowds. Also, May 1st is DHS's Birthday, so they are doing special fireworks.

LOL! Good idea!!! 5/31 is DS's exact birthday so maybe we will just do a one night trip for that and go for longer in early may!
