First weekend in May?

We have 3 days planned at Universal - 2 Sundays and a Wednesday. I usually buy the Express Pass for 1 day just so I know we can get everything in. During the first 2 weeks last May, the E.P. was about $50 for both parks. This year, Sunday May 3rd is $84! Is there something going on that weekend? The rest of the week seems to be cheaper.

grad bash last date is May 2nd
grad adventure is the 8th and 15th of May....


maybe UO is expecting that sunday to fill the parks as one of the events ends the night prior.....?


i searched earlier threads when the topic came up for the teen held events at the parks.
didn't see anything extra listed.

Fridays can be crowded during the day in May as local schools do their field trips to UO during the daytime.

It was very wise - regarding a Nelly concert - but only relevant to May 3, 2014 - not 2015.
