What are the crowds like? And, are there any rides that usually gone down for refub at that time? Most importantly is Haunted Mansion. That is my DD4's favorite ride, and I mean favorite. We go on it at least 10x every trip :) haha, maybe more. She also really likes Space, she likes to put her hands up :) I know they have the holiday overlay, but not sure when they do that as we usually go after Thanksgiving.

Thanks!!

Both attraction overlays will be in place, HM and SM.

It will be low crowds except on the afternoon and evening of parties. The weeknds are busy.

I'm thinking crowds will be manageable. Haunted Mansion will be up I'm pretty sure. Last year, it closed in Sept. for Halloween decorating and reopened on Sept. 16th, so I'm sure it'll be up and running the 1st week of Oct. They changed Space Mountain to "Ghost Galaxy" last year. Your DD4 is really brave to ride it! I think it's a great time to go. I don't know how well you tolerate cold, but last Sept. was so cold at night and even during the days towards late Sept. We had jackets on all day and night. If you're from somewhere cold, then it's nothing, but if you live in Kailua, bring some warm clothes. When it gets closer to Oct, you can look up the park ride schedules and closures for that month. Also look at last years crowds, although this year should be a little busier because of Carsland opening. :goodvibes

Fall is a great time to visit Disney Parks. Nothing like having plenty of time to ride the attractions, taking pictures with characters and watch parades and shows without having to check your spots for hours!

With that being said, it is true that it will be busy on party nights and on the weekend but weekends are always busy at Disneyland so...

Weather is usually great but cold at night. Make sure you brings pants and jackets to make sure you'll be find!

We went mid week the first week of October 2010. Everything was done up for Halloween already. The crowds were light, hotels inexpensive (relatively) and we had no problem getting a meal at a "peak" time. We decided against doing the evening Halloween party and we were glad. It looked very crowded and it looked like a lot of that crowd was not families but lots of teens/young adults. We overheard people saying that line wait times were long for the attractions that were open. I don't know how much tickets are but I think when we went it was $59 a person.

Hope you have a great time and enjoy the EXTRA spooky Haunted Mansion!

Thanks everyone! Just thought about fireworks -- do they run during the week or only on the weekends?

Thanks!!

Weekends only and at the Halloween Parties. If you come on Satuday or Sunday and do a party on presumably a Tuesday or Friday, you can see two different firework shows.
