First week of October...why so difficult?

We always go the second week of October. Food and Wine, tour groups (although that wouldn't affect Deluxe), and a lot of conferences (which would). We did a spur of the minute trip a few weeks out and had to do a split stay between Contemporary/Wilderness because there were no deluxe rooms for the full week in the monorail line.
