First week of March

We are planning to go for the week of February 26 thru March 4. It is Mardi Gras in Louisiana and we are getting out of dodge. i read something about some racing week and the park is crowded????? We were there around the same time two years ago and it was not bad. . .has anything changed since then??????

The week of Mardi Gras is always a bit more crowded-- you aren't the only one with the idea to leave town. Also it falls at the start of Spring Break time as well.

However, being the very, very start of March I don't think the crowds will be to the point they are too overwhelming yet. By the 2nd week is when they really start to build.

I don't know which race you may be referring to. The Daytona is usually President's Day weekend.

We are also going during this time period. We were there last year during the same time and it was great. The crowds were not bad at all (short waits on most everything) and the weather was great the entire week. I'm hoping to repeat that this the next trip. In doing some research it looks like the later into March you get the busier it is getting (especially the last week). The UG lists our times as mostly 4's and 5's. So, I think it should be great. (I hope).

Thanks for the information...when we went tow years ago with our then m31/2 year old it was a dream vavation. This time we are bringing both girls who will be 5 and 21/2 and i am just hoping for a repeat perfomance. thanks for the info

We will be down February 25th-March 4th. This is the week after President's. We have gone down this week two or three times and it's always been very doable. longest waits would be like 15-20 mins. Of course I avoid EMH hours and parks like the plague so that helps me out too. The week before ours and successive weeks after are busier than the week we are going. This past February, we went during President's Week and I bought Front of the Line passes for US/IOA. We didn't even need them. I'm very excited to go and you should be too. The crowds will be very doable.

1) Holiday crowds not a problem.
. . . President's Week in the week BEFORE you visit.
. . . Daytona & Orlando Bike Weeks are the week AFTER your visit.
2) We always go the last week in February and 1st week in March.
3) You should be fine.
