First Week of December at the Poly!!!

Hey everyone!!! We're at 77 days!!!!! Time to start working on the kids' customs and costumes!!

Off to shop in the city tomorrow. I'm hoping to find books to make the girls' autograph books, the materials to make some accessories and stuff to make some tees. I've also ordered the kids a couple of custom shirts ('cause I don't have the time to sew outfits). The fall seems like it's going to slip by as fast as the summer did, so I gotta get busy!!

Will be staying at the Coronado Springs from Decmber 1st thru 7th. New resort for our family....hope it turns out well!

No kidding!! My BFF and I are making one outfit a week until December. We wrote it out, and it wasn't much time at all!! Can't believe it! We were just wishing for the time to fly, and it really has. Crazy!!

Hope you enjoy! Be sure to stop by the Poly!!! ;)

Disney on Ice on Friday!!! Glad to have a little Disney fix!

:yay:This 12/1 through 12/5 will be my family's first trip to Poly. Staying MK view and I have never done that before as well. Doing MVMCP on night of 12/2. I would welcome any recommendations on longhouses.

Thanks to all for your help. Is it December yet?:woohoo:
Megan & DH, DS (17), DS(10), and DD(8)

We just paid off our trip in full today!!!! 11 days at the Poly :cloud9: from 11/25 - 12/5 - we are so excited!!!! Anyone else starting to put things aside for the trip. Our weather here in Chicago has started to cool down so it might be time to pull out the suitcases and pack any warm weather clothes that will be coming with us on the trip.:hourglass:banana:

Gotcha!! There are only two longhouses with official MK views. Check out the official Poly thread for the ongoing debate on which is better.

We've started making the kids' customs and costumes for the trip. Now that we have to finish stuff, the time's going by faster. :rotfl:

So today when I turned on my computer, the Disney Vacation Connection desktop widget said 69 days until vacation. WOO HOO :cheer2: there is a 6 for the first number. I get so excited every 10 days to see that number drop.

I'm strarting to put away some summer clothes too - but putting aside the stuff we'll take in December. Since DS is away at college I'm using some of his empty drawers for our vacation clothes! :goodvibes

I have a pile starting to accumulate in the corner of my office ... new shoes for the girls, autograph book stuff ... That's a good idea to set aside a suit case and putting the summer stuff in there that we will be taking (instead of putting it away & getting it back out again).

Just installed the widget thanks to you, I didn't know about it before! :thumbsup2 It is displaying a lovely 68 days. That sounds so much better than 2 months!

I am glad you were able to get the widget. Now you can happy dance with me every 10 days :dance3:

maiapapaya, paras4ri, and PolyndianPrincessJes I am so glad I am not the only one!!!! My family thinks I am nuts for preparing this early on, but I am NOT going to pack and then unpack warm weather clothes and if we forget something - guess who everyone looks at. My DH packs the night before we leave :scared1:....drives me nuts.

I have a good trunk filled with already for the trip! Now I am just waiting for the cold weather to stay so I can pull the suitcases out and pack away the warm weather clothes! (90 degrees in Chicago today :rotfl2:) Planning a WDW for November/December is the only reason I look forward to the cooler weather!

Ya, is it completely pathetic to be able to list planning/preparing for WDW vacations as one of my hobbies? :rotfl2:

So excited ... our new passports arrived this morning! Only 66 days to go, but who's counting! :rotfl:

I can't believe I did it! I just paid off our vacation 66 days early! I never thought we would be able to stay in such style.

I am so excited to be sharing such a dream vacation with my kids. Especially my DD. She is fighting growing up, but I know it will happen eventually. She loves to play in the sand and be a little girl, and she still believes!! (we have told her the truth about everything, but she still finds reasons to believe)

Not sure what you mean by "truth"... :wizard:

Just over a week until we see that lovely '1' on our ticker!!!!!!!

Maybe we can put in on our resume too!!!! Can I tell you how many friends I've made at work once they see the Disney stuff in my office - I get a "you too?" and the conversations start flowing. The people I work with know I can be a very serious and yes sometimes sturn and cranky person at work but mention the D word and I am all smiles and planning.

By the way it was 87 in Chicago today!!! I am so ticked that I can't pull my warm clothes out of the closet yet and start determining what is going. Okay I did start pulling the swimsuits out...but that's it so far.

I actually have friends that went to Disney for the first time this year (2 different families). I became their best friend when I started sharing plans and tips to make their trips good. They didn't even know they needed ADR's. They told me I needed to make planning for Disney a career. Too bad that won't pay my bills and especially pay for my trips to the world. I love to plan and share Disney.
