Hello Everyone,

We are staying at SSR from 14 Dec thru 22 Dec 08, having never been at this time of year what could we expect as far as crowds and weather :santa:
Thanks

We were at OKW around the same date range ( Dec 18 - 26)this past Decmeber, the parks were moderatly crowded at the beginning of the trip steadily increasing as Christmas got closer and maxing out on the 23rd.

As far as weather goes be prepared for anything, some days were 80 while others were around 60 and a couple of nights were rather cool. Best advise is to always keep a sweat shirt or jacket handy if staying in the parks after sunset.

We usually go the week before. Left Disney the past 2 years on the 17. We did notice towards the end of our trips the crowds starting to pick up a bit. Nothing outrages but definitely more crowded then early.

As the week goes on you will see more and more people arriving.

As for weather in 2006 it was in the 70's most days with low 60's at night. Last year it was in the mid 80's every day with 60-70 at night. However the last night and day were COLD (for FL). In the 40's. The day we left (17th) when I woke up and checked temp it was 45. I think the high that day was 50.

On the bright side it didn't rain much at all the whole trip. Just check the weather the week before you go but be prepared for both warm and cold temps.

It is a beautiful time to go. The decorations are great. Make sure you see the Osbourne Lights at HS and Candlelight Processional. Both just make the season! :santa: You are going to love Dec. It is a favorite time of year to visit WDW!

Your dates are very similar to when we went in '04 for DM's 85 birthday which is the 22nd, we left on the 23rd. The closer you get to Christmas, the more crowded it gets. I must tell you that it was COLD that year, not chilly, cold! For the Candlelight processional, we all had our winter jackets on and many of us also had lap blankets! That was the year that we came home to 20+ inches of snow in Dayton, planes were cancelled along the east coast, luggage and people stranded in airports! It's not been like that since, but it could happen!

This year we're going NYE week:banana:
