First WDW DVC Trip Report! BWV, BCV, PIT VS RIV AND VERO! BWV First!

Im not gunna lie its a cool experience and you feel special in there but i think $500 going towards food on a family of 6 would be considered reasonable
Thank you for sharing!! It does look nice and I'm sure the service is great but $1700 seems way out of proportion. That's over $200 per person for a party of eight! There's no way I could eat and drink that much, although I suppose if you're also selling the plush and glassware and other goodies that drives up the price.

Anyway, glad your "standby" came through and you enjoyed it. I'd never heard of this as an option. We've dined there and wondered how seating there was determined. Now we know! :upsidedow

Yes you have to call or email their concierge, you cant just ask at the podium ahead of time. The reason I knew this is because we ate there while staying at BWV and were so happy with the place, we wanted our family to experience it with us when they arrived and conveniently we would be at bcv.

So we booked another reservation and I asked the podium after booking the second reservation how to sit there and she informed me we had to go thru concierge. The other dining room that is very pretty that can be requested at the podium, but there are other tables in that section and its not a private seating like this middle booth.

It is very easy to spend a lot of money there. With a slice of cake being $22 a piece and the food so expensive and drinks plus auto gratuity on parties of 6 or more, pretty sure we spent over $200 on our party of 2. And my cousin, who is a party of four, spent around $300.

That is nowhere near $1700 tho which is why I thought $500 to sit there would be like paying nothing extra and reasonable. I also should mention that auto gratuity was def 20% or even more which i thought was ridiculous although the service was wonderful so that made me feel ok with it

Guess I can understand the high ‘reserve’ price. With the Tea Service $150pp this is an even higher tier for guaranteed seating. Love that it helps keep the table open for the chance on maybe getting it at no upcharge  That’s a great WDW Pro Tip!

Yes they tried to act like well I was risking not getting it if i didnt pay, which is true, but I thought to myself at that cost I have a feeling it will be open 🤣🤣 and it sure was 🤣🤣 but I would def have them notate on your reservation that you want it if its not booked without paying
