First visit today...sort of a disappointment

We were going to do Men in Black Alien Attack, but then saw it required a locker and because we didn't feel good we figured that it meant it was something intense since the only other rides we rode that day that required a locker were The Hulk and Dueling Dragons.

MIB is not intense. You missed a great ride! There are some slight spins, maybe more if the car opposite you has a good aim. I think the locker requirement has more to do with things falling off the cars onto the tracks due to their hands being preoccupied with the laser guns. Next time you go back, give it a try! :goodvibes

Ya, it isn't everyone's cup of tea. Personally, I think it blows Disney out of the water. Spiderman, Men in Black and Mummy are just way better than anything at WDW to me and those are just three rides!

I totally agree. I like WDW okay but if I had to choose one over the other it wouldn't be a contest!

The rides we did were:
Dueling Dragons (we rode this 4 times and easily decided it was our favorite coaster we've ever rode) The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman, The Incredible Hulk Coaster, The Cat in the Hat, Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast, Shrek 4-D, The Simpson's Ride.

We had to stop riding rides after we got to US because all the rides we did back-to-back-to-back were simulator type rides and it made us feel ill. I've never realy had this type of problem before either so it was just really weird. We also found the descriptions in the maps to be a little confusing. We were going to do Men in Black Alien Attack, but then saw it required a locker and because we didn't feel good we figured that it meant it was something intense since the only other rides we rode that day that required a locker were The Hulk and Dueling Dragons.

If we would have planned out the trip more and looked into more info about each of the rides we probably would have spread the various simulator type rides out throughout the day and not doing them so close together and saw a show in between doing them.

Wow! You missed more than half of each park. You are not able to judge the parks fairly by the few rides you did. Go back and ride everything at least once then decide if you like it or not.

Thanks for the re-assurance about scooters. I will rent from an outside vendor as they are cheaper for a week and easier to manuveur. Only a few more weeks to wait!

The wonderful thing about a US/IOA vacation is that it is not the combination wedding/mountain expedition planning-wise.Stay on sight, enjoy FOTL,eat where you wish without awakening at 7:00a.m.-it's quite a different experience.Disney can make you crazy in that way.

if it is possible, try to revisit the darkside before the parry hotter section opens up.

i have read that it has been listed as a theme park inside a theme park.

since i am not into the parry hotter stuff, i can't say how that section will be presented.

i'm completely happy and content with what UO has to offer now.

i do the motherland and the darkside each year.
enjoy both of them.
