first visit to WDW,which mod resort?

Hello!I am so glad I found this forum.Our first WDW trip will be Nov 02.We have decided to stay onsite at a moderate hotel.We initially decided on the CBR until i read that the rooms were older and not as nice- the size is also a little overwhelming.I will be traveling with my DH and DS (5). Any suggestions would help as I am very clueless and this is very overwhelming.Thanks again and have a great day!!!

About the moderate resorts, I am a bit biased. I love the POFQ resort and I think it would be great for your 5 year old because the resort is so compact AND they have a great pool that kids love. The POFQ resort is closed right now ut will be open by your Nov trip.

I know you were concerned about the CBR rooms being old, but from what I have read here all the rooms have been renovated. CBR also has the largest moderate rooms out of the 4. I think on my upcoming trip I will be staying at CBR since POFQ won't be open yet.

I think you are going to be happy at any of the moderates really! It is Disney World!

I think it depends on your taste.

Check out the pictures & see which atmosphere you like best. Look at the FAQ so you can see what the resort has to offer. Check out the menus to see what they have to eat at the restaurants.

My favorite is PO-FQ.

IMO, the moderates are a great value. I think all four are nice!

I agree with julesmom. You'll get 100 different answers to that question. It will all come down to preference. You really can't go wrong with any of the moderates.

CSR is also a beautiful, large resort layout in a Mexican/SW theme. It has a great food court, best main pool on site and great atmosphere. Check out my info page below.

Welcome to the DIS boards!!

Caribbean Beach Resort is beautiful and the rooms have just completed an entire refurbishment! They are also the largest of all the moderate resorts, equal in size to some of the deluxe resorts. I just returned 2 weeks ago and have created a web page with a lot of pictures and information. We also stayed at CBR last May and both times this resort far exceeded our expectations. Both of my sons, ages 10 and 13, love this resort.

CBR is a lovely resort and you'll be happy there. Don't stress yourself out trying to second guess your decision. I've stayed at CBR, POR and will be staying at CSR for our next trip. They are all beautiful and I have a hard time saying which one is my favorite.

CBR is my favorite moderate! We were just there last week. All the rooms have been renovated and are just like new. I am very picky, so trust me!
