I have called reservations several times trying to change my full hook up site to preferred but have been unsuccessful.

We are a family of 4 adults and one child and would like to be close to the pool and tennis courts. From reading other post and looking at maps posted it looks as if loop 1300 or 1000 would be the closest to these areas. We would like to be close to bath house and not too close to the main road if this is possible.

If anyone has any suggestions on loops or site numbers we will be most appreciative. We will not have our dog with us so we would like to stay in a non pet loop.

We had requested loop 1400 but we have read that they are all preferred sites.

Thanks for any help you can give us.

site 1007 with our 33' TT. The site was great. The path for the bath house was 2-3 sites over. Across the street was the Meadows Trading Post and the swimming pool.

The only draw back was the bus that services this loop was the Orange Bus of which they only run 2 busses. So we did a lot of waiting. Other than that, I would request that loop again.

Have a great trip!

We stayed at site 1321 which was perfect for us. We were on the side of the loop farthest from the road and the site backs onto the canal. Right across the back of our site was the playground, which is right beside the tennis courts and pool. We just had a very short walk (1 min. tops) along the canal to get to the bridge to access these places and the campfire and movie. At the same spot was the back door to the Trading Post. We were very happy with our site. Now, we were there in low season, and while FW was full, the pool wasn't a really busy place. Over 2 weeks, there was only one night that we could hear noise from the pool. In high season I might find that annoying (we have young kids) if it went on later at night. There is a comfort station on loop 1300, but it was at the other end. This is not a large loop, so it sure didn't bother us. We used it only because we had two families together and some of us showered at the comfort station to make getting to the parks on time easier in the morning. The main bus ran just past the entrance to the loop, and it was not a big walk at all to get to it. There is also a playground right beside the bus stop, so if you had a wait, there was something for the kids to do. Apart from not having cable, 1300 loop seemed to us to be a great alternative to 1400.

I'd still ask at check in if a preferred site is available..you never know what cancellations there might be.

Loops 1000 and 1300 are full hook up not preferred. So if those look good to you then you should be set. Call back and put in a request for one of those on your ressie. When you check in hopefully you will get the loop you wanted and then ask to see the site map and then you can pick which empty site you want within that loop.

Sometimes I think it depends on "who" answers the phone if you know what I mean.

I got told "no" so many times that I felt funny calling and calling. I also needed to move my dates up by 2 days and add a day. Was told they were booked and there were no preferred sites. The following day, a reservations CM found it all for me including the extra days and the preferred site. I even have a specific loop site requested (1453 I think). So, keep trying. You may get lucky as reservations change or drop from the system.

The only thng you don't get with a full hook up is cable TV and the "location" that most people want. You have already indicated that the location you want is close to the meadows, not the marina where the preferred sites are.

I would suggest sticking with a full hook up site and making a request to be cose to the meadows. I have a FW map on my site below. Check it out and you will see that you have been given good advice as to loop requests. But, CRO will tell you that a loop request is not guaranteed; don't worry about that. The site assigners are good at getting floks near where they want to be.

Thank you for the info. Will this site accomodate a 33 ft. TT with large canopy and slide out? You can tell I am new to this. I am not sure of all of the questions I need to ask. Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your help. Our TT is the size of yours. We have a slide out and awning almost the length of the trailer. Will It fit with the awning out? Thanks you for your help.

Just tell the reservations CM the size of your rig and all other info (slides, awnings, etc.). They will enter this info in your reservation. About 4 days before your arrival the reservation is sent to the site assigner who looks at what you have asked for and selects a site that matches your size rig. If there are problems withthe site assigned, unless it is a totally full house they can move you to a different site.
