Hi all,
My boyfriend and I will be in Orlando for two days following a cruise before we have to head home. Usually when we are in Orlando it's for a week or so & it's hard to get him to spend time away from Disney; but with only two days in town I've convinced him its the perfect time to give Universal a try! :cool1:
So far he's only really committed to one day - he thinks we will have plenty of time to hit all the "must-dos" for us since we're not really "thrill ride" people so he believes that other than Harry Potter in IOA, we'll spend most of our day in US. I'm hoping when we get there he will see there is enough to keep us happy in both parks for the full two days. But I don't want to buy the two-day pass just in case it doesn't turn out that way. I'm also worried that our timing (Tues March 13 & Wed March 14) will turn out to be very crowded due to Spring Break crowds & he will get frustrated and not want to go back the second day.

So three questions -
1) If I buy the One Day Park to Park and then want to add a second day, can I upgrade on the way out the first day to a two day ticket or do I have to buy another one day ticket?

2) What do you think the crowds will be like those two days? I'm hoping it's early enough in the month that we might miss the really huge Easter/Spring Break crowds.

3) Do you think we'll need to get one of those Express Passes? What would the cost be during this time of year?

Thanks!!

1) I'm pretty sure you can upgrade. Just be sure to do it before you leave the park the first day.

2) That's near the beginning of spring break, and that you're planning to go the middle of the week helps a bit. I'd call them moderate, but I'm just guessing.

3) There's a link somewhere on Uni's website to the daily prices that I don't have. You can use that price as an estimate to what Uni thinks crowds will be. The more expensive they are for a particular day, the heavier the expected crowds. You do not need to buy them until you get there--wait until you see the crowds for yourself to decide if you need them.

Here is the link to the Express Plus Pass pricing chart. Remember...the higher the cost, the more of a crowd is anticipated.

You can upgrade your tickets before you leave the park.

we are going for a few days that week and the express passes were only $25/pp. Im not a huge thrill ride person but I think you can definitely spend a whole day at US so I would plan on a second day for IOA. Even if you dont end up spending the whole day. There is alot of walking if you do both parks in one day! Relax and enjoy yourselves.
