Hot??? It doesn't get hot in Florida, medium at the most. If you want hot go to Las Vegas in the summer where it is 25 degrees hotter than Florida.Hot (with occasional to many lengthy rain showers depending on that year's weather pattern)
True, not the hottest anywhere in the country. We did 4th of July in 2012 and were quite relieved to escape the (unusually warm) 100+ degree temps of the Midwest when it was low to mid 90's in Fla. but a bunch of trip reports (from Northeasteners?) still talked about how hot Florida was.Hot??? It's like the difference between being in a sauna (Las Vegas) or in a steam bath (Orlando).I think it's fair to characterize Florida in July as hot.
My family and I are planning a trip to Orlando first two weeks of July. What is weather like then? How are the crowds?

Yes, I have lived both places. Humidity is not the subject to which I am talking about. I am merely talking about temperature. I will take 85 degrees at 95% humidity over 110 degrees and 4% humidity any day. You don't cook a turkey with high humidity.Oh, really?? Have you compared the humidity levels?? NO comparison!!

Where do you come up with "most people"? Do you realize Florida just pulled into third place in the US with 20 million residents? Meanwhile Arizona with it's low humidity is 15th with only 6 million residents. I don't have any problem at all with the humidity in the summer time here.I would say that most people would agree that 90 - 95* temp. with 85-95% humidity (which is more like July in FL) is by far the worst of the two if they've experienced both. Humidity makes the heat 'much' harder to take. You can't separate the two when you are outside. It doesn't just 'cook' you, it smothers you! You can't stay out in the sun with either for long.
