I am from Tampa, but I cannot stand to go on the Summer- it is stifling hot. Just not pleasant to walk around in if you can avoid it. Last July we took a day trip over and I ended up with heat exhaustion- it was not good!
Just be very cautious if you come in July- start early, take mid-day breaks, drink lots of water!

Full disclosure...I am from Maine. That said, we have traveled several times to WDW in July. It is hot and humid. Expect a thunderstorm every afternoon. However, I wouldn't trade the experience for the world. Wish I could go back this summer, but it's not in the cards.

Exactly. Many of us come from places where three days in a row over 90° is officially called a "heat wave".

Where do you come up with "most people"? Do you realize Florida just pulled into third place in the US with 20 million residents? Meanwhile Arizona with it's low humidity is 15th with only 6 million residents. I don't have any problem at all with the humidity in the summer time here.

If you don't have a problem, good for you, but I stand by what I said. From past posts, seems like you haven't been in FL too long if I remember correctly from camping boards. We'll just have to agree to disagree - good day!

His comment was in reaction to a "most people don't like the humidity." More people live in Florida (therefore, they must like it) than live in Arizona. But I have it on first hand experience that the overwatering of lawns in Arizona has dramatically raised the humidity in the inhabited areas...

Well, getting off topic on population to answer you - there are 'many' reasons, other than weather, that draws people to FL. - the warm weather of the south only being one - I'm a deep south person, but I 'don't' stay out in the heat/humidity all day in the summer, even though I love humidity.
