First two weeks in December?

depends..

we've been there in december when we swam..
and we've been there in december when the kids were bundled up in their snowsuits with their mittens and balaclavas on..
and other decembers that were in between those two extremes...

so there's no definitive answer to this question...

but other than the weather, we loved early december at the parks....lovely and peaceful with beautiful xmas decorations everywhere...

We have been a few times in early December and had a mixture of weather both times. Generally it was warm enough for shorts and tshirts with maybe long sleeves in the early morning and evenings. We got married on the 6th december and our wedding day was high 70's. 2 days later we were wearing jeans and fleeces.

That being said we had a good number of days where we went to water parks and spent time at the pool. Admittedly there were not many people in the water parks when we went ( mostly Brits!) but at least there were no queues!

It is a great time to visit though, the Christmas decorations and events are great fun and the crowds are low :)

We've been in early December a couple of times and on both occasions it wasn't warm enough for the pool....and we're typical scots -anything above 10 degrees and its sun tan weather :rotfl:

Our friend who lives out there has promised faithfully that it can be hot in December (mid 20s) but we've never been when it is.

We went dec 3-18 in 2009 and kids went swimming a lot in the pool and we went to water parks weather was nice not that hot but compared to uk lovely crowds not bad either I would def go then again if I could

One of my favourite memories is Christmas Eve 2008 when we were on the monorail to the MK in shorts and t-shirts and everywhere around us the Floridians were in coats, scarves, hats, gloves and looking at us if we were absolutely insane :rotfl2: (OK, not far from the truth).

TBH, we found it really warm and bordering on hot and really comfortable. It's just what you are used to.

We've been twice those weeks 2007 and 2009.

1st year it was very hot I can remember news saying record temps - we swam alot. shorts t shirt weather.

2009 was cooler - still ok to swim some days. 3/4 trousers and tops.

But are you British or American? I've seen Floridians wrapped up when it is 20 degrees!

the year of the snowsuits/mittens/balaclavas was when we were living in detroit - a northern snow climate, which is why we had their snowsuits with us...we had just come from snow..

and there have been years we swam..
but those were considered unseasonably warm..

so it depends..

early december is one of my favorite times to go...
when the kids were little, we went every year at that time..

Remember if you're going this year that New Fantasyland opens December 6th so it will probably be reallllly busy that week. I actually wish I was going then because the sun hates me lol and the fantasyland opening is the day before my birthday:eek:
