Been reading a lot of comments from u all on this site for the last week since i booked a trip to Florida for myself,Dw and five daughters aged 14,12,8,8,5.
This is our first trip to WDW and some of the abbreviations you guys use on here are simply confusing. :cool1:
Although for this first trip we are staying in a villa we are all getting excited already ! and yes that includes myself....probably the biggest kid of us all.
Anyway a simple question on PS ! I have read that you can book these 90 days ahead of the trip and! if so how do you book by that i mean do you need to reserve by credit card or just by giving your own details.
By the way any advice would be appreciated..............! :Pinkbounc
And what is all this banana banana chat ?? :confused3

Welcome to the DIS!

To answer you question about PSs. Very few bookings will need a credit card to reserve them - there are two main exceptions. One is the very popular Cinderellas Royal Table breakfast held in the castle at the Magic Kingdom. They will take a deposit ($10 per adult I believe) which is then deducted from your bill at the restaurant. The other is the Fantasmic Dinner Package - but with this, no monies are taken from your card - it will only be deducted if you fail to show up for your booking (without cancelling within 24 hours). For most PSs you will not need to secure the booking with a card, though it would be polite to cancel anything you cannot make (you can do this via guest services in the parks or Disney resorts) or calling WDW-DINE, free from any park.

Not sure what you mean about banana chat...do you mean this guy  he is a very popular smiley, mostly used when some lucky DISer is about to depart these shores for WDW!

Any more questions, please ask!

Welcome to the DIS. In addition to what Allie said above, when you make a PS (or AR -advanced reservations as they are now called, just to confuse everyone!!) you will be given a confirmation number. You might need this when you turn up but most of the time you just need to give in your name. Just to be aware that a PS means you will be given the next available table after your alloted time it is not a reservation that means you will be seated at that time. If you want to phone for a PS you will need to phone after 12:00pm our time as that is when the lines open in Orlando.

I hope this makes sense!! Feel free to ask any more questions if you need help. Everyone is really friendly around here.

Welcome to the DIS

Check out this List for abbreviations. Hopefully that will help :)

Hello  to you and your family (5 daughters? We have enough trouble getting in the bathroom with 2 daughters! )

Hope your PS questions have been answered, but don't be shy about asking more :)

I've been four times but never made PS. Regretted this a few times. Can I call from England? Is there one number for all restaurants? Can I have the number pleeeeeze? :goodvibes

Hello sheluvsflorida  welcome to the boards!

Yes, you can call WDW -DINE (001-407-939-3463) from the UK to make your PSs for WDW restaurants.
