First trip without the diaper bag - WOOHOO!

I agree that it's great to take the little ones to WDW, but I'm very excited to report our September trip will be our first trip without a diaper bag. How exciting! I suppose the next milestone will be our first trip with no strollers. What other milestones do the kids reach on their trips to Disney?

40" We are hoping both our kids will be 40" (my daughter is close depending on the shoes she has on and how tall she stands). 44" and 48".

The magic age at which you can split off from your kids for a little while. Or go to dinner by yourselves.

Cameo, Congratulations on achieving this milestone! I have the exact opposite situation...I will be going to WDW WITH a diaper bag for the FIRST time ever this November. Not my own little bundle of joy, but my SIL's. Wish us luck!

For us, a big milestone for taking the kids out anywhere is when they are able to eat a meal of 100% table food. No packing jars of baby food, bananas, Cheerios, etc. And mom can enjoy her meal w/o spoonfeeding another! NICE!

First trip for me in Sept without a diaper bag too!! I still cannot believe it because after 7 years of changing the diapers of my 3 DS's, it just became a part of me. Now when I go places I can carry a purse instead of a diaper bag. Such little things me so much.

Before our last trip, I measured my 3.5 yo several times with and without various sandals and tennis shoes. She was exactly 39.5 inches in her tennis shoes. At WDW, just out of interest, we measured her at Splash Mountain. She lacked at least 2 inches according to their measuring stick. In other words, Disney has already built the chunky heels into their measuring stick. My little one was miffed about not getting to ride. So we rode Goofy's Barnstormer over and over an over! One pleasant surprise, though, was she was tall enough for Kali River Rapids.

So we are also looking forward to 40"!

This is a milestone becuase it will be ther first time I take a diaper bag to Disney. We have always left the kids behind! Now DS2 and DD1 are going! It will be a milestone becuase it will be awesome to see the "real" Mickey Mouse and Donald ect..everytime you see them without exception! We are really looking forward to that!
