First Trip with Toddler

Hi all! I am soooo excited about our upcoming trip! It will be my first time ever going! And my children have never been! We are counting the days!

I have a question, my 2 1/2 year old still sleeps in her crib and is fairly tall. She is too long for a pack n play. When I request a "crib" is it a proper crib or will it be a pack n play? I really think trying to get her to sleep in a bed will be a nightmare especially when we get home. I am not ready to transition her to a bed at home.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I'm pretty sure it will be a pack and play. There are places you can rent a full-size crib from in FL, namely A Baby's Best Friend and Orlando Crib Rental, and they will deliver the crib to your resort.

I would also recommend renting a crib from an off-site company as I believe all the Disney 'cribs' are pack 'n' plays. The other bonus to renting an actual crib is that the mattress is much better. After long hours in their strollers it's nice for little ones to be in comfy beds, just like us.

What resort are you staying at? I believe that some have cribs but i agree with an off site rental. The mattresses are much better in a crib. Our last stay was at AKL and I had a pack n' play

I think the deluxe resorts have metal cribs. They're not full size cribs tho, more like travel sized metal cribs. I've had them at AK and BLT. So I know for sure they have them at those resorts.
Not sure about Values or Mods. Does your toddler still sleep in a crib? I heard the resorts have bed rails too. I've never asked for one but I've heard some people have gotten it.

Thanks for all the info! She does sleep in a crib at home so maybe I will just rent one. I was just trying to rent a stroller and they don't have the one I want available at OrlandoStroller. I need a double. Any other suggestions?

We rented a crib from A Baby's Best Friend for our DD when she was just under 2 yrs old. It was a full-sized crib and was very easy to put together & take apart. My only complaint is that the sheets are washed in a detergent that has a very strong scent! We ended up using our own sheets, but had we not packed them, I would have had to call ABBF and request new sheets. This past trip we rented a toddler bed and requested sheets that are washed in unscented detergent and they were much better!
