I just got back.
This was trip 35 (approx.).
I used and ECV this time for the first time.
I heard a lot about how rude people are when you are in an ECV.

I didn't experience that.
Everyone was courteous (or just as nice as when I'm walking).
I always waved people on in front of me and said excuse me and thank you.
Basically, I moved around the same as when I'm walking.
I don't walk very fast, so I wasn't in a hurry with a scooter either.

I also decorated the scooter like the Tinkmobile with wings and everything. It was tacky but fun. I had my Diser sign on and met LOTS of Disers too. We had some great chats!
I also had a lot of people tell me how fun the scooter was with the decorations and the Fairy Godmothers in training dusted me and the scooter with pixie dust since the sign on the scooter said that my pixie dust ran out before I landed.

Some people even egged me on to try to get me to see how fast I could go...there are a lot of good natured fun people out there.

I had a little bit of trouble at the MK Halloween party. That park is just not as easily negotiable. Plus, everyone was very wrapped up in the stuff at the party so I got a little lost in the crowd, but nobody was mean or nasty or anything like that.

Just go with a fun attitude and enjoy the trip if you have to rent an ECV. I was crying when I hurt myself before the trip, but it turned out to be a very pleasant experience.

Oh, and if anyone thinks you are skipping lines, that is not the case. Most rides didn't really have lines when I was there. If I walked on, I would have been right on, but I had to wait at gates for a CM several times for quite a while and on the Toy Story Mania Ride, I waited about 15 min. longer than the standby. At the Lights Action Show, I had to go up a ramp on the far end of the theater. Everyone else got to go right in the main stair area..I had to go the entire way around and missed the first 5 min of the show.

The crowds were pretty good, so nothing was terrible whether waiting or walking on though...but it definitely is not any kind of guarantee of jumping the line.

awwww how nice since people can be so judgmental. ;) Makes a vacation go much nicer. Glad it went good for you.

I hope and pray I was one of those courteous people to those around me.

I'm so glad you had a good time- it sounds like you had a fantastic trip!

Thanks for the report and glad to hear you had a good time.

Most of the people you meet are nice. It's just that the not-nice ones stick in your head.
I also think some of the not-so-nice ones sometimes post on the Internet to bash ECV users because they can be anonymous.

So glad you had a great experience.
And thank you for taking the time to post about a GOOD experience with an ECV.

It's all about mutual respect.

It was funny too that for the first time, I actually noticed other scooters in Disney. They were EVERYWHERE!

I kinda felt like I fit in. I was about to start challenging people to races...lol.
