First trip...Wishes dessert party, worth it?

Thanksgiving week will be our first trip to WDW!!!!!!!! I was just able to book the Wishes Dessert Party but was wondering if people that have done it think it's worth it? I'm sure it's much better than having to worry about the crowds! We have 4 kids, do you really have a good view from the party? And what are the dessert's like Thanks for any input!

We are doing this for the first time too!! The pictures that I've found of it and the reviews sounds and look GREAT! Can't wait!!

First of all have a great time and it's completely worth it i went june 28th and had the greatest time. i didnt have to fight for a good spot to watch wishes i was fed which is always good in my book and i got to see a lot of the floats for spectromagic ohh and i got go to the bathroom and not fight with people to get back to my spot.

DD and DSIL and in WDW now for their honeymoon. We received this email from them this afternoon in regard to the dessert buffet:

"Probably our best meal has been Boma & the dessert buffet. The dessert buffet was well worth every penny. It was fantastic. We sat in the VERY FRONT ROW just luke & I at our own little table.. It's all you can eat for 2 hours! They had 6 beverages: iced tea, coffee, hot tea, lemonade, milk, coke, & diet coke. There was a HUGE fruit plate. I was so excited, I had LOTS of fruit...2 plate fulls actually. There was pineapple, kiwi, strawberries, cantalope, honeydew mellon, raspberries, & black berries. It was fantastic. Then they had "kid desserts"...rice crispie treats, brownies, etc. They had adult desserts: chessecakes, chocolate mouses, fruit parfaits, cheese danishes, chocolate covered strawberries."

Does anyone know if they are continuing the Desert party in the New Year. We're going 1/11 and just wondering.

No - it is not. There is a lot of desserts, but the viewing area is not good, there is a lot of people crammed into that party space and the food ran out quickly.
