OMG - I have taken the plunge and put down a deposit today to stay at Windsor Hills for 14 nights in Oct 2014!!!
This is the house we have booked ( 6 bedrooms -there are only 4 of us!)

Will also look to stay somewhere else in Orlando for 4-6 extra nights.
Let the planning begin, I know nothing about WDW, Orlando etc ( hope I don't get this trip confused with the 2013 trip!)

I just can't keep up with all these bookings.......congratulations on your trip ahead.

Absolutely gorgeous house. I'm amazed at how organised you are, wow Oct 2014. You are a planning queen.

I want to stay in that house, I wouldn't want to leave.

With that pool my kids would think the house was the theme park! Looks gorgeous:)

Hi Caroline - great planning for 2014!!! You will love Windsor Hills!! A work colleague stayed in a house there last year and loved it! They were 2 families plus grand parents and they said they had heaps of room - so you will be fine for just the 4 of you!! :lmao: (hey, I stay in a 3 bedroom town house for 2 of us..!! :confused3 :rotfl:)
Let the planning and research begin..!!! :surfweb:

I am so excited to be finally planning for WDW. I know I am obsessive about this, but it's what motivates me to get up ( at 4.30am every weekday) and keep heading off to work.
I can't wait to learn more, 2 years should give me plenty of time for reasearch:rotfl:

Thats awesome that you have 2014 booked already i cant imagine how good that feels pixiedust:

The house looks amazing. You will love Windsor Hills. We based ourselves there for all of WDW, US/IOA, Seaworld and Legoland. If you have a car then its not too far to anything. Less than an hour anywhere we went and usually a lot less.

The house does look amazing Caroline! Happy planning :cool1: I have planned a lot of trips in my life but none of them come anywhere close to the amount of fun I had planning our WDW/Orlando trip! :dance3:

I do work in the vicinity of the airport, but that's not the reason for my work hours. I work 6.00am-2.30 pm. This means I have a full time job, but I can still pick the kids up after school and take them to after school activities etc :)

I am so pleased to hear recommendations from those of you that have stayed at Windsor Hills. Really looking forward to stay in a house twice as big as ours, and umpteen times flasher!!

So for the first 6 nights of the holiday I am thinking of finding somewhere near Universal? Does anyone have any recommendations?

Wow, what a dedicated Mum you are to work those hours so that you can be with the children after school :cool1:

After our 9 nights at POR, we check into the Staybridge Suites International Drive for 7 nights. They have since been renamed the Sonesta Suites. We had a two bedroom suite which was spacious (especially since we'd been in one room at POR previously!) with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living area and 3 T.V.'s in total. The rate was really great value and it included breakfast. The location was handy to Universal and Sea World (kind of half way between the two) and was in less busy part of I'Drive.

Halfway through that week, we did go and stay one night at Royal Pacific Resort (left most of our stuff at Staybridge) so that we would have the onsite hotel perks of early entry to WWofHP and front of line access at both Universal and IOA. That was a lovely hotel.
