Hi - we are WDW vets who will be travelling abroad for the first time next month. We will have 4 days in Paris (5th - 8th) and plan to visit DLP on one of those days. We would have liked to spend two days, but I think the two other days will not be enough time to see all the wonderful sights of Paris. I was thinking Monday the 8th would be the best day to visit DLP, assuming the weekend would be more crowded. Is this true?

Right now, a one-day/two-park ticket is 20% off if we order it ahead of time from the DLP website, so I'll be ordering those very soon. The calendar says that Disneyland Park will be open from 10 am to 11 pm, with Disney Dreams showing at park closing. Seems like a silly question, but does the show start at 11 or end at 11? Also, how easy (or not) will it be to get back to our resort that late at night if we are staying offsite at a hotel in Paris? What is the best way of travelling between our hotel and DLP? We are staying at the Victoria Palace.

We would like to eat at Walt's - am I correct in thinking the restaurant only serves lunch? If so, what's a good restaurant for a nice dinner?

Thanks so much - I feel a bit like a fish out of water and would appreciate any advice you can offer!

Dreams usually starts about 11 pm or just before. Your best way of travelling is by train, the station is just outside the parks. Walts do evening meals too although not sure of what the latest is you can go.

Hi! :goodvibes

Congrats on your upcoming trip!
And yes, Dreams will begin at park closing and last about 20 minutes or so. There is a train station just outside the park, near Disney Village. I'm not sure of the train hours, but I can't imagine you'd have any trouble getting back to Paris. :)

I've often read that Walt's is closed on Monday/Tuesday...best to call reservations to confirm if they'll be open on the day you'll be in the park.
And Walt's does serve dinner...from 6:00pm on. We have reservations there next week at 6. ::yes::

Inventions is a large buffet/character meal inside the DLH...More on the expensive side (60€ per person) but many say its the best food in the park. Trying it for the first time next week, so I can't speak from experience just yet. ;)

Thanks so much for the replies so far! I was confused about Walt's because the DLRP website says you can "lunch" there, etc. Perhaps that phrase is used differently than here in America...hope it's not closed Mondays - I really am looking forward to dinner there.

DD is 14 now and sadly thinks she's too old for character meals.

:scared1: never too old for character meals!! :rotfl2:
Congrats on you trip :) im also hoping to eat at Walts while there for my birthday, ahve heard so many good things about it and the menu looks amazing! Hopefully as coming into summer season it wont be closed on the monday but like previously said your best to ring reservations to prepare yourself. xx

Sounds like a lovely trip you have planned :goodvibes

Walts is definitely open for evening meals. I too advise you to book a table ahead of time, as it's very popular. You might get lucky with a Main St view, and if so it's nice to have your meal whilst the parade is on. It starts a 7pm, so if you book a table for about 6.30 you could be watching the parade whilst enjoying a great meal :)

As others have said, the train station is literally right next to the park gates and is called Marne la vallée chessy :thumbsup2

It looks as though the nearest metro station to your hotel is St Placide.
You will need to take that to Chatelet and then join the RER line A which will take you to DLP.

Not all the trains on this line go to DLP as the line splits so when you are on the platform check the overhead display and there are lights against the stations where the train stops. Marne la Vallee is the last station on the line.

The journey will take approx 50 mins and will cost approx 14E per adult return

Another question, this one from my worrying DH - how safe is it to take the trains at that time of night? We both grew up knowing that it's best not to be on the train so late...is it safer in Paris? He's leaning toward taking a taxi - what do you all think?

A couple of years ago I did the opposite journey, I got the last train to DLP from the centre of Paris and its not something I would repeat.
Nothing bad actually happened, but there were quite a few people giving us cause to feel 'uncomfortable' and in the same situation, I'd get a taxi every time.
I guess it's the same as any city at night to be honest.

Anyone have an idea how easy it is to get a taxi from DLRP at that late hour?

If the park closes at 11pm and Dreams is at park closing, then the show will start at 11pm and end around 11.20pm or so. Then probably add another 10 minutes or so to get out of the park.

Walt's serves both lunch and dinner, but your best bet is to call the restaurant reservations line to check - while I was there at the end of last month, Walt's was only open for dinner! Definitely make a reservation for Walt's too as it can get full... I think it's also easier to get a table by the window if you go for an early time slot for either lunch or dinner.

Otherwise - another restaurant that looks really nice is the Blue Lagoon (inside the PoTC ride), not eaten there yet but it looks like a great atmosphere! Also more restaurants in the DLP hotels.
