I'm trying to plan our first trip to Disneyland. We've been to WDW many times and now it's time for something new.

We are planning to go for Halloween 2011.

How many days in the parks should I plan? There will be 2 adults.
Do we need a car?

How about Universal Studios? Should we plan a day or 2 there?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi there!

Someone else will jump in to answer the questions, but if you haven't done so already, be sure to tune in to our "Halloween at DL" super thread, which has lots of fantastic photos all throughout (of decorations, food, window displays, merchandise, the Halloween Party, etc.), as well as lots of questions and answers, discussion and late breakng news on the DLR HalloweenTime front. Even if you don't have time to read the whole thread (it's long!), try to look at the photos so you know what to look forward to when you go to DLR next year.

Three days minimum and four is better. Be careful choosing days of the week in October because of off-season issues specific to DLR. See "What You Should Know About Off-Season at DLR" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=18462889

No need of a car at DLR. Stay close by and walk. See "HydroGuy's Hotel Rule" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1199862. If you go to USH you may want a car or there are shuttle busses available. Most recommend one day for USH. You may want a second day in Hollywood if that appeals to you.

As for other suggestions see Mary Jo's sticky thread at the top of the forum. Here is a link:

Also see this link that gets lots of mileage around here.

Have a magical trip! :wizard:
