I am also following along your trip report and I'm enjoying it as well.
Hi Bret

I am also following along your trip report and I'm enjoying it as well.
This could be one of my favorite updates. The spot where you got caught in Fantasyland is one of my favorite areas. There is nothing like the lamp posts turning on when it hits dusk.

I'm sorry your fish n chips from the Stage Door were dry. We really like those and their chicken strips too.
Your meet looks great. We had a nice meal at Ralph Brennen's a few years ago. Looks like we may need to go back. Love any sort of artichoke.
Great update Pam! Thank you. Loving Toon town how very cute!
Sounds like you have hit the wall by this stage I know that feeling. It's good to spend some time in your lovely hotel room watching Once Upon a time. That's part of the vacation too! I like to think of the resorts as extensions of the parks so when I get tired I don't feel frustrated to rest in the room!
Alicia and her DH sound nice. So it's her we need to be thankful to for these wonderful trip reports!
Omg fried green tomato sandwich how much would I love to try that! We don't do fried green toms here in the UK. First I heard of it was watching that lovely movie. I thought they looked divine but never tried one.
The parade was wonderful what amazing picture you got! That Roger rabbit ride looks great fun.
I am not a big fan of Splash mountain so ohhh sorry to hear you nearly fell. I hate getting wet I only go on for Jo!
Indy is a great ride I loved that! I rode that a few times then we had no time for anything else lol.
Thanks again for great update! Sorry your food was bad. You sound almost British there. We are too afraid to ever complain about anything.
This sounds like another fantastic day. I love the Toontown photos. I actually think the line is the best part of the Roger Rabbit ride. I was absolutely blown away by all the details. I am sorry that some of the food was less than magical.

Pam I was wondering thinking about The Post Box's you took a picture of and you saying they each make noises. How cute! Do you recall what kind of noises they made? Sad I know but I love to picture and imagine it all the sights and the sounds!
oh how sweet re little voices the sort of detail so easy to miss as people race from one headliner to another I am glad you had time to absorb such wonders! I recall reading that at WDW in 3D muppets where there is a sign as you go in that says 'gone out key under mat' or somethjng like that if you look under the mat there is a key there! I am going to look next time! Not sad at all, I love those details! It was pretty much all I could do to get a picture without any kids in it, let alone play with them myself. But I did overhear some of them while waiting, they were cute phrases in the voice of the character on the mail box. I can't for the life of me remember the specifics though.

oh how wonderful you have a picture! Oh no re renovate! That's not progress! There is indeed a key, I have a pictureI read a book a few years ago that had all the little extra magical touches. Sadly a few are gone as they renovate.

Would that be The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World by any chance? Susan and her husband Simon are friends of ours. There is a new Hidden Magic book coming out later this month.
Corinna
That's the book! I will definitely buy the new one, I loved finding all the 'hidden' things. How cool you are friends with the author![]()
Aw yay! This update made me smileDH and I had soooo much fun hanging out with you.
I really wish I could have toured the parks with you. Next time you come out to DL, I already told DH what I wanted to do. He'll go golfing (as we know, he's not too much of a fan of DL) and I'll go to the parks/DTD with you! He was all for that idea. And hopefully Alison would be able to join.
I had no idea that you were that shy. Could have totally fooled me the way you love to talk! Thanks again for taking time out of your day to spend time with us

We never spend much time in Toon Town, but I have a feeling we will shortly as DS gets older. I laughed when I read, "If they can't fix it, we won't"![]()
I think the Roger Rabbit queue, is quite possibly one of the best queues in all of DLR. It's a very long queue, but it's perfect.
I've heard good things about Maurice's cart. Is that where they also have loaded baked potatoes? And that twist looks delicious.
Too bad about the fish and chips. There was only one time that I didn't enjoy my fish there and it was because they were way too greasy.
oh how wonderful you have a picture! Oh no re renovate! That's not progress!
Jo and I are truly addicted now to Once upon a time!
They are the sweetest people you can imagine. I can't wait to meet up with them again in Orlando.
Corinna
I'm guessing you met them on one of your trips?
Actually no. Simon is originally from the UK and is the editor of a cruise magazine. We met them for the first time in person at a cruise show in London. We had known them beforehand in 2D as they are moderators on a UK based Florida forum that we both are active on.
