We are going to disneyland for the first time in about 3 weeks, and I was wondering about the weather. How warm is it going to be? and has anyone ever been to the Mickeys Halloween Treat? Iwas wondering whats involved with that. We Have tickets to the dessert buffet, and i sure hope thats worth it. And does anyone know about how much of the park a 1 year old would find interesting? :cool1:

We live in Calif. and have been to Disneyland lots of times (only been to WDW once but are going to fix that in December)! We've never been during Mickey's Halloween Treat, but have been in the fall. The weather in a few weeks will probably still be fairly warm (but not as warm as Florida!) with cool mornings and nights. We don't get the humidity that FL has so even warmer days are still comfortable. You'll probably want to start out with a sweatshirt in the mornings and then wear it again in the evenings. I can recall spending a long day there one October and wearing jeans and a t-shirt and keeping a light jacket in a locker. I would recommend watching the weather reports as your trip gets closer since rain and colder weather in October is not unheard of. I can safely say that, in general, October tends to be on the warm side.

As for your 1-year old, DL has its own Toon Town that is very colorful. There's a fun little area with sound effects and silly things to try. DL has many of the same rides as MK and a few MK doesn't have. My kids love the Casey Jr. Circus train - they're 11 & 8 now but they loved is as toddlers and preschoolers too. Winnie the Pooh or any other rides with familiar characters are also a good bet for little ones.

Hope you enjoy your trip!

I am not too sure about the weather, but I do think that a one-year-old would enjoy the carousel. My little girl did. Toon Town is also a fun place for the kids to get out of the stroller and walk around. At Goofy's house there is a little slide and things to play on, and inside the character's houses (Mickey's especially) are chairs that the kids can sit on too. That makes for great photo opps. You could also try "It's a Small World." HTH.

:) I agree...I live in SanDiego and we go all the time. You will want for sure a sweat shirt for am and pm. The pools are heated at about 80 degrees all year long also. Be sure to bring shorts and pants...in October sometimes you need pants but we were shorts for the most part in October. I would say to plan to wear shorts after 10:00am till 6:00pm than change into pants. for the evenings. hope that helps. Our weather is kind of finiky so be sure to have both.

Sorry this isn't informational, but if Disney Land is anything like Disney World, you'll love it!

HAVE FUN!!!! :bounce:

Hi! We are DLR frequent visitors. The weather in Oct is really nice. You can get away with jeans and tees and take a light jacket for late morning and evening.
We've been to Mickey's Halloween Treat when they had it at DLR and last year at DCA. We really had a great time both times. Worth the $20 pre-sale price.
As far as stuff to do for the little ones. My kids started going at age 6 weeks. They loved all the music at the parades and IASW. Toontown doesn't really have a lot for babies. I would suggest most of the Fantasyland rides, except, Mr. Toad, Pinocchio and Casey Jr. My kids also really liked the train.
I've never done the dessert buffet. Please let me know if it was worth it.
Have a great trip!! Here's lots of pixie dust! pixiedust:

Are you talking about the Fantasmic dessert buffet? If so , you will love it. There are many yummy desserts to choose from and the view is incredible.

I don't know if you have this ride, the Storyland boats. They cruise through miniature diaramas of fairy tales. It is very sweet.

I go to DL every year, in fact I go next week! TOT here I come!
