Hi Everyone!

So we are really excited about leaving soon...4 days!:cool1:

I have been checking the weather in Orlando and our luck the week we're there it looks like rain. Thunderstorm actually. It's our first trip so I'm really disappointed. We're only staying 3 days. My 5 year old son wakes up every morning asking when we're leaving. Has anyone been there when the weather showed rain? What can we do if there's bad weather?

Were leaving the snow here in VA to hopefully go enjoy some nice weather.

I have been to Disney at least 20 times and never once looked at the weather. You will have an amazing time rain or shine! There are so many indoor attractions, shows, stores, and restaurants to duck into during heavy rain. Light rain just throw on a poncho and keep going.

We were there during a hurricane. Irene I think it was in 2012? During the heavy rain the outside rides shut down but as soon as it stops they will be up and running again!

Have a great trip!!

First of all, don't worry too much about the forecast. Showers are common in Florida...a little more so in summer than now, but they do happen. Many panic when they see a showers forecast in Florida; typically, but not always, they're fairly brief and spotty. Bring your rain jackets along. As long as the lightning isn't bad, just throw on your jacket or poncho and keep going. Some of my favorite days in the parks are when a shower occurs, because it chases many out of the park.

We were there last week and the weather forecast called for showers off and on all day Wednesday. It rained for about 20 minutes while we were waiting for the bus from the resort to MK and had stopped once we were off the bus. It did not rain for the rest of the day.

and honestly, do you believe any weather forecaster after this winter?

I worried about the same thing last year. Looked like a chance of showers everyday that we were there. I honestly don't remember it raining at all. If it did it was overnight or very early morning before we got up.
So, I would just be as prepared as you can....but go with it. A rainy day in Disney is much butter than snow where you are!!:cool1:
