My DH and I will be going to DW for the first time in Feb 2010, we will be meeting my nephew and his family for a week of Disney!

My DH has narcolepsy, which he manages to control quite well, but he still needs periodic times to rest/take naps during the day. He's pretty self-conscious about his condition, so I was hoping to get tips on where we can go to relax or for him to close his eyes for 10 or 15 minutes. Preferable places would be somewhere of the beaten path, maybe a grassy area where he can sit and lean against a tree, benches/chairs away from the main crowd.

Any help would greatly be appreciated! We will be visiting all 4 parks, so information on all would be wonderful.

Thanks a million!

There are probably some attractions where he can take a nap! ;) Seriously tho, there are lots of places he can rest. Benches are everywhere. AK has lots of trails off the beaten path. Believe me, he'll find a place. If you are staying onsite, he could always hop on the bus back to the hotel and take a nap.

Epcot has Ellen's Energy Adventure, which is a very, very, very long ride. Perfect for napping. My kids always did!!

Just off the top of my head, I can think of the Hall of Presidents in the Magic Kingdom, also the train ride around the park. I love the boat ride in Living with the Land at Epcot, but it put my kids to sleep too. I would fall asleep during that silly show there too, the one with the Lion King characters--is that still there? It's a big snooze-fest for me.

Disney is very good about letting you just take a load off and has lots of places to sit and nap.

As for napping during attractions, he could catch a very quick nap during the 3D movies... Just off the top of my head:
MK - the train, Hall of Presidents, Carousel of Progress, there are even some rocking chairs on Main St that my grandmother enjoyed ;) There's also a path from Toontown to Tomorrowland (along the railroad), and many people go the main route between them. It was a really eerie feeling to walk on the path, and have no one else around!
AK- lots of pathways to nap along.
Epcot- Impressions de France, the attraction in American Adventure...
HS- Great Movie Ride, Backlot Tour, Sounds Dangerous...

I hope you have a good time!

Thanks everyone. It makes me feel a lot better that he won't have to struggle to find somewhere to nap. I probably worry about it more than he does, but I want him to enjoy the trip as much if not more than I do! It seems like we won't have trouble finding somewhere for him to get comfortable for a quick nap! Again thanks :)
