..........too bad it wasn't to The Fort. :sad1: We just got back from our first weekend out with the camper and are happy to say, it looks like everything fared well through the winter. Of course there are little things here and there that needed to be spruced up, but for the most part it was like we had been out several times already. The weather was great, considering it is early spring in New England, and didnt have to turn on the funace once. The best part is, it didnt rain all weekend! The kids had a blast and the adults are tired from relaxing....now we are home with laundry and cleaning the house. Someone had asked us if the weekend could get any better.......my husband yes...........all we needed was a big set of Mickey Ears in the background!!!! I know, this had nothing to do with camping at the fort, but I just wanted to share. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I wish the season was longer though, I think if we had the money, I would consider a seasonal, but i guess I would had to then buy a second tt so that I could take it to The Fort!

We just got back from our first trip and Saturday was great but it started raining last night and I had to pack up in the rain.

Uggg, I hate packing up in the rain. We were hoping that it didnt rain this weekend, we realized we need a new awning for our tt this year. We knew it was "dripp-y" but this winter for some reason seemed to put it over the edge. Soooo I will be in search of replacement fabric this week. LOL

Yea it rained the whole time from sprinkles to pouring. One thing nice about working for an RV dealer is free parts both of my awnings were free and I keep enough parts to replace them if they get damaged.
Packing up wasn't as bad as the roof leak that appeared from the kitchen light. But I got it home and in the garage so I will take care of it this week. Got to be perfect for FW.

Good to see everyone getting out again for the season. I wish they could all be the Fort, but I'll take all the camp-outs I can get.

Now that DW was in the TT for a week (almost), and enjoyed the trip, I can start working the Fort into future possibilities. She never camped growing up, so I'm having to get it into her blood. Let's hope for more good local trips, they are the best way to get her bit by the bug.

Thats how I got my hubby to get a camper.....and to finally concede to a trip to The Fort. He never camped as a kid, but I grew up camping, with my parents graduating to a different level every few years...i.e... tent....pop up...travel trailer...bigger travel trailer...lol. We started out with a tent which he didnt mind too much, then found a screaming deal on a used tt, so we decided to go for it. Now, after having two good seasons behind us, we have finally booked the fort. Now, if October could just get here a little faster........lol
