Okay, so far our family of 5 has agreed to Universal at the end of our Disney Trip. This was done by a little prodding by me for the fact that the end of the trip is in Universal's Value Season and saving money is always good!
We have also decided on HRH Deluxe Room with the help of the wonderful people on these boards. Now I am trying to figure out the best value for our money. Hope all you veterans out there can help me.
Our family is DH, Me, DS (12), DD(11), and DS (9) who in Universal's eyes is our only child. I have checked the web site and it seems the AAA rate and the APH rate are the same for room only. I would then still have to buy 5 park passes (I think I can buy 4 adult and get the 1 kid free according to the web site). Then they have the Play 4 Free - I would get 2 adult and 1 kids "free" but would still have to buy 2 more adult passes. Can you apply an AAA rate to this package or is it straight rack rate?
I need to make a decision soon but it seems like I save money when I go with the room and the tickets separately. Does this make sense? I know I have always booked separately with Disney but I thought Universal was supposed to have such great packages?
