Although I've lived most of my life in Northeast Florida I never made a trip to WDW until this past halloween week. Actually we increased our trip from 5 to 8 nights at FW in the 100 loop. We parked our van and didn't use it the whole week relying on the buses, boats and a golf cart from the bike barn.

My wife and I are mid 50's planning a relaxed visit with daily park passes without the park hopper option. We did some cooking at our popup and ate at the FW buffet several times. It took me a while to get used to the style of the cashiers at all the stores and shops being so friendly and casual. I did make a point of talking to as many cast members as I could to find out about them as they inquired about us.

We never really received any free or extra things that we hear others receiving, guess we kept missing the pixie dust people somehow. We did bring some pixie dust to others by finding and turning in a very heavy loaded camera bag on one of the buses going to epcot. Hopefully the people got their bag right away.

Only real negatives about the trip dealt with the admission cards to the parks with out credit card authorization. Mine regularly had problems going into the parks but never messed up beind used at the cash registers for purchases. Finally had to go back to FW front desk and have another one made. On check in day at 1pm. they told us our site wouldn't be ready, seems that the person on the site hadn't moved off it. We encouraged the front desk to find us a site asap and they did by putting us in a larger site rather than the one next to the comfort station which we were scheduled to get. The last thing is concerning a overcharge on our credit card. We did the auto check out and got our bill the morning of checkout, found our total to be several hundred dollars under the $1500 limit they set. Well today the wife checks our card online and finds that they billed us for $1500. Going to check on that tomorrow. Our site, golf cart and park tickets were paid in advance of our trip so we know that we only owed for food and souveniers, and got that total the morning of checkout.

Overall I found the people of WDW to be very friendly and helpful and wouldn't hesitate to schedule another trip our even a cruise with them. We also found that most of the guest were friendly and courteous. I've never been to a campground or amusement situation where kids and teenagers were so well behaved. Thanks all you parents for the way your kids behaved. I also enjoyed the fact that there weren't a lot of sloppy drunks like you usually find at campgrounds. We both met Cm's that were from our hometown area both here in Florida and up Cape Cod way. Sorry if you were looking for the day to day park action of ours we were just two older slower relaxed people that planned a non hurried visit to the parks, rode rides that appealed to us, and pretty much kept to our normal camping routine of sleeping in and going to bed early. Other than some minor glitches with the financial aspects of WDW and our credit card and park pass we had a great time.

Hope to go again someday.

Sounds like you guys had a great time, thanks for posting!

Problem with credit card all settled up. Nothing else to worry about but our next trip and when and how to plan it.
