Checked in on Sunday at the front desk at WL and was assigned room 4541.The cm checking us in gave me our first official "Welcome Home"
We had a 1 bedroom and a nice view of trees with the lake peeking through .Front desk had delivered balloons and a card from Mickey and Minnie wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Very nice! LOVED having the xtra room (only 3 of us), the washer/dryer and 2 tv's! The tub was very cool and my 6 yr old loved it!
I wish I knew about the shower as I almost gave myself a heart attack with the cold shot of water!
Got up real early one morning just to stroll thru the lobby and check out the Iron Spike room. Ahhhhh! Beautiful and peaceful!
We enjoyed the Hidden Springs pool and it was never crowded at all. We went to watch the geyser go off and my son was soaked and happy! The only thing was that he got attacked by little biting bugs outside and had some kind of reaction where his face swelled slightly and was bright red. The beach at night to watch the water parade was swarming with whatever flying bugs they were and people were running covering up with towels to get away. We picked up the refillable mugs and made good use of them. My ds went to the kids club for about 1 hour one night and he just loved it! Playstation heaven! There were only 2 other children to the 3 caretakers. My ds could have stayed there for hours! The Lodge and the Villas are breathtaking. Transportation was never a problem. All in all our first trip Home was very relaxing as I see now one of the joys of DVC ownership is that you can just chill, relax and really enjoy a vacation because you know you will be coming back!
