First trip home and Hotels

I am making our first trip home in April and want to know if DVC members get any type of discount on hotels and or who to call we don't check in till Sunday and need a hotel somewhere near Disney on Saturday night.

DVC members get a member discount (25% off rack rate) on DVC resorts only. Others here can probably offer suggestions on hotels for the first night but we don't get any discount through DVC.

I would post to the Orlando Resorts/Hotels board for the offsite properties

I have not stayed there but the Radisson Parkway is supposed to be quite nice and there are discounts shown at

We ended up due to a flight snafu needing a Sat. stay. We decided to shell out extra bucks and pay for BWV just not to have to move and check-in again. We got a 25% member discount but than did better with an AP rate.

We've stayed at the Dolphin and Swan using the government rate. They also have a teacher and nurse rate.

Or we stay at a moderate and get whatever code they have available.
