took my 88 year old aunt to disney in december. thanks to everyone for all the help and advise in your posts. we had a great time.

That's great. Glad you had a good time.

I took my mom for her first ever WDW just a few years ago, when she was in her 70's. She had such a great time (my dad would never go on vacations). I booked alot of character meals for her and I swear she had more fun than any kid there.:rotfl: Due to her bad arthritis she had to rent an ECV and said before we left that she knew it was a once in a lifetime trip and her health would not hold out to do another one. However, when I went back down there a few months later, she changed her mind and decided to go back with me. She has been several times since.lol My favorite picture from that first trip was her on Dumbo. We rode it just to get that picture. I sat in the elephant just in front of her and turned backwards to snap the picture. I swear her smile was a mile wide.lol That picure is priceless.

We took mom for her first trip when she was 87. I never saw her smile so much. She especially enjoyed the characters shaking hands with her.

Thank you for posting! I had wondered how your trip went! THis past fall I went with a friend taking his 85 year old mother with mobility issues for the first time.
