First Timers

Not only is this my first time on the DCL but its our first cruise ever as well as our honeymoon. and I must admit I'm a WDW veteran (been over 8 times and been to a most of the major events) but the cruise line I'm lost.

I've been trying to look around the boards but there seems to be just so much and so spread out it can be a bit overwhelming for a first timer.

Personally I'm booked on the Fantasy's Nov 3rd East Caribbean Cruise but I thought it would be good for others to condense any and all special tips you all might have about any of the DCL ships in one post.

Anyone have any must see's, must do's, must buys, or secrets they want to share. Even if it doesn't help me I'm sure it will help other first timers. Thank you all in advance and sorry if this starts a flame war.

I'm a WDW veteran as well and taking my first DCL Fantasy cruise in December. Since the Fantasy hasn't had it's maiden voyage yet, there won't be much information specific to it - but I found that the Fantasy and the Dream are very similar. So look at the trip reports for the Dream Cruises. I did find this thread that might help you - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2666895 as it has a list of the do's on the Dream (check the last page - someone kindly put them all together!).

In the meantime, just enjoy reading all the threads. You'll pick up a lot of good information and ideas!

First time cruiser here also. We are going to be going on the Dream and I know next to nothing about cruising. I searched the Cruise forum for threads with tips in the title and found lots of great information. It is overwhelming at first, but you catch on.
