First Timers 5/18 Magic with Kids :) Questions :)

First post, so please forgive my boo boos.

Cruising on May 18th Magic, first time cruisers, me, dh, and dds (five of them) ages 11 months, 5 years, 7 years, 10 years and 12 years. Hoping they will meet some other nice little kiddos.

We have second dining, little worried about that one (any suggestions there?) and are staying in two category four connecting family rooms (hoping that will be ok).

Staying two nights prior at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and are using Limo to port, what time should I have them pick up? Planning on bringing my own stroller and some beverages for the kiddos.

We are so completely excited I cant wait til May gets here. Really hoping we like it since I have already booked the Western for July 2003.

So happy to have found this site, it is just a wealth of information. Any other suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

No suggestions, just hello. We are also cruising on the Magic, May 18th, first time cruisers! Our DD's are 2 and 5. I'm sure we will run into each other at Flounders and the Oceaneer's Club.

Hi Jeanne, and welcome to the Cruise Board!

I personally prefer main dining when traveling with my 8-year-old, but if you have late seating you can make the best of it. If your kids can't wait till about 8:45 or 9:00 to eat, then there are plenty of opportunities for late afternoon snacks, or you could order room service. The ones that are old enough for the children's programming can eat dinner in the programming if desired. I'm sure you'll be able to work it out.

The two category 4 rooms will be perfect for your group.

I'd have the limo pick you up between 9:30 and 10:00. It's only about an hour to the port and that gives you plenty of time to check in. Boarding will not begin until between 12:15 and 12:30 pm.

Just wanted to say hello! My family, my sister's family and friends of my sister's are cruising on the Magic 5/18 also. We will have my DD12, DS9, sister's DD19mo, friend's DD20mo with us. My sister and I cruised in Nov 2001 on the Wonder. We had such a great time we couldn't wait to sail again. We chose the 7 night this time since we didn't feel like we had enough ship time on the 4 night. Looking forward to our trip! Hope to see you there!!!

Hi Jeanne! Just wanted to welcome you to the DIS. We've done the Magic (twice with third coming up in August) and we've stayed at AKL (last Dec) and have to tell you you've picked the two best experiences you could ever have picked!

Glad to know when to get the pickup from the hotel, I was thinking much later so definately needed that info. And, we are wait listed for early dining, so maybe we will get lucky

My girls will be so happy to know there will be other "cruisers" their ages.
