You can write a letter to Santa and put it in the special envelope that you can pick up at his post office in Frontierland.

Photo suveniours cost 15euros for 1 photo and 20euros for 2 photos, basically the more photos the buy the more money you save.

I can really comment on how much to take because it depends what type of person you are with spending etc.

Btw Welcome to the DIS :)

santa letter Sorry not been (yet!) so can't help you on this one someone else will be able to though :)
cost of things inside park eg photos etc Not sure on the prices but I know you can get bundles of them that work out cheaper. You do not have to buy the official photos though you can just take your own :goodvibes
entry into ranch Not sure - try the DCR thread in the stickys :)
clothes to take Take lots of warm clothes!! Lots of people buy cheap ski suits for the kids to keep them warm :santa:

Hi ria28 and welcome to DLP DIS board
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here. DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

I am sure you will love DLP at Christmas time.

I would suggest as it will be cold to take lots of layers that you can take off when inside the restaurants etc. Hats, gloves, scarves, some even take thermals.

Spending money is tricky as it depends what you want to buy :)

Hiya! Firstly, welcome to the DIS! And secondly, :thumbsup2 for booking your first Disney holiday... as an addict since our first trip with DD3 in June, its the best place for a holiday for kids (and big kids!) but then on here, we're a bit biased!

I've never been in winter as we're going after you, but I'm from Scotland and I'll be taking my thermals, waterproofs and thick jumpers! I think its a case of taking layers, prepare for the worst and enjoy it if the weather ends up warmer than expected! Failing that the DCR pool is also supposed to be amazing if you want some time back at the Ranch with the kids for a breather and a float :cloud9: in the warmth!

As for the spending money, one thing to be aware of is that items you can buy in the UK are generally cheaper here than over there. For me, if I can buy it in the UK I do, and I focus on keepsakes and souvenirs specific to DLP when I go there... the price of costumes particularly is :scared1: in comparison! Just so you are prepared in case you get pestered!

Others have answered the other questions I could have and I'm sure the outstanding issues will be picked up by people much more knowledgeable than me ;)

Either way, have a lovely trip - I'm sure the kids will be delighted when they find out the big surprise!
