First timer with questions on transfers and upgrades

Hi! We will be on our first DCL cruise in September. I have some questions that I'm hoping you can help with. Could I book the DCL bus from MCO and check in my family and inquire about upgrades while my family comes in later that day? From what I have read I would need photo ID for adults and passport or BC for children. I'm just wondering whether the entire family has to be present in order to secure an upgrade if it's available. TIA.

I haven't done this myself, but from what I've read, it sounds like it shouldn't be a problem. The other adult will need a driver's license to get through port security.

You can check in separately. You will need proof of citizenship for those you are checking in (so bring the passports and birth certificates with you). The adults will need photo id to get either on the DCL bus or into the port (if coming via other transportation). So if they give you their passport, make sure they have their driver's license with them. They will need to see one of the check-in agents when they arrive at the port to have their photos taken

I would keep an eye on what stateroom types are available for your upcoming cruise. Depending upon which sailing you are on, there is little to no concierge available on the early September sailings. You didn't state what type of upgrades you are hoping/looking for. Perhaps others can provide better advice if you give an idea what you are looking for and when you sail.
