First Timer: Wishes and Dinner

We have an 8:30 ADR for dinner at LTT after seeing Wishes at 8:00.

1. Is this a good idea?
2. Where would the best place be for us to view Wishes and still be able to easily get to LTT?

I'd just be sure to pick a spot on the left side of Main Street (if your looking at the castle) so you won't have to try to cross through the crowd getting to Liberty Square.
