First timer needing information

Hi

This is my first visit to Florida theme parks we will be arriving on Oct 19 for 2 weeks. I have 9 and 7 year olds. Obviously doing disney but can you give me the low down on Universal please.

Definitely doing SW but I don't think we will be doing IOA on this trip. My girls are not into thrill rides, but we want to do US for Shrek...

Are there parades / fireworks etc.. at US in October bearing in mind the Halloween Nights are on too.

I shan't be doing the Halloween Nights so should we aim to go US on the days that the parks are open longer eg til 7.oopm.

Does anyone know if there is a light and busy day planner available?

Nope. The only times they have parades at Uni are Mardi Gras, HHN and Christmas. No fireworks seeing as the park will close around 5.
