My familiy and I are planning a last minute trip to California around Dec. 27, 2003-Jan 1, 2004, from Denver. We are flying in and out of LAX.

It's me, my Wife and my 2 year old son.

Anyway, we are planning on spending a few days in San Diego, Zoo, Seaworld, hanging out.

I was thinking about going to Disneyland before we left on the 31st. We don't plan on staying there late for crowded fireworks.

Is it a waste of time for us to take our 2 year old to Disneyland?

Will it be too crowded, even during the day of the 31st?

Also, any discounts available anywhere for one day only disneyland?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is my understanding that the week between Christmas and New Years is the most crowded of all weeks during the year. With a couple of the major attractions down and that many people you might wish to return at a later date. The 2 year old would probably have fun but it would be tough getting around in those crowds. I don't beleive there are any discounts for a one day ticket.

Or would I be better off hanging out in San Diego for another day.... and forgetting about LA except to catch my flight.

I hate the thought of waiting in huge lines at Disney.

I think just hanging out in San Diego would be great. There is also the San Diego wild animal park and Legoland (which would be good for the kid) though I suspect the lines would be long there too.

If you want ideas for San Diego with a two year old, just send me a pm. I would avoid Disneyland. The crowds will be too much for enjoyment of the park.
