1) is dining plan worth it for disneyland?
2) how many days in the parks do you need? (its for two adults no kids)
3)and which neighborhood hotel is better

thanks to all who answers my questions

I've heard no on the dining plan, but I haven't had any first hand experience. In my personal opinion, three days should cut it for 2 adults. I'm not sure if it is considered a Good Neighbor hotel, but I always recommend the Anaheim Hilton on Convention Center Way. It is the only place I consider staying, and it is reasonably priced for the quality of the hotel. I'm sure you'll get tons more opinions! :)

I think the number of days, depends on when you are going and if you want to try to do everything (or nearly everything). It also depends on if you plan to eat at sit down places or just counter service.

Assuming you want to do most rides, I think three day would be enough, but they would need to be three relatively long (full) days. In my opinion, there is more to do at DLR than DCA - so probably plan for two days at DL and one day at DCA. However, the parks are literally across the plaza from each other, so Park Hopping is really easy and well worth it.

You'll need to make good use of FP to avoid waiting in lots of long lines (usually FP for Indiana Jones, Splash Mountain, or Soarin' are the best bets (i.e., best time savers).

If you are going when all three nighttime shows are running (Fantasmic, fireworks, and World of Color), then you need at least two nights to see the shows. You can probably do two in one night (fireworks and Fantasmic go are pretty doable as a pair) and then WoC on a second night.

If you like to take things a bit slower, want to explore DTD, and like to eat at table service places, I would allocate at least three days (maybe four). I've not done four days, but we go often enough that we only ride some of the rides (for example, we never do Splash Mountain).

The dining plan is not like WDW in anyway. Most people will say don't do it, but those that have say it's just ok. It doesn't save 20% like the one in WDW.

I would stay 3 full days and even add a day if it over a weekend or includes a holiday to get all of it in.

For hotels this depends on your feeling of prices. I would stay on property if its resonable or somewhere that is within walking distance.

I recommend the Candy Cane Inn. It's just a short walk down the street on the same side as DLR. They also have a devoted shuttle, although we found we preferred walking, but it's there if you need it.

No
2) how many days in the parks do you need? (its for two adults no kids)

At least two, three if planning to visit DCA too.

3)and which neighborhood hotel is better

That is a value judgement.... with that said Howard Johnsons is a highly rated property by members from this and other sites as well.

I used to say three days was enough but now I am not so sure. A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I was a ride warrior pure and simple. Parades? Nah. Fireworks? I see those on July 4 at home - why take the time? Then a strange thing happened. We were walking past POTC one night and got intrigued by a show on the water called Fantasmic. Then hooked. On Disney shows.

Then another thing happened. I went to WDW. And there I came to understand how dining experiences can really add to the trip.

So we went to DLR last week of July for 4 and 1/2 days. And it was not nearly enough time!

With the new World of Color show, the classic Fantasmic, some really cool fireworks shows, Aladdin stage show, and a bunch of fun restaurants, it is really hard to fit DLR into three days. Can you go and have a lot of fun? Sure! But if you want to see WOC, F and a fireworks show, that takes up three evenings there. When can you find time to go on rides at night without more days?

Bottom line is I think DLR now needs four days. When the new Little Mermaid ride is done, and Cars Land, it will definitely be a solid four day experience.

ditto what Hydroguy said--but then again you can look in my signature line, and see the least amount of time we've done is 4 days...
