... The best quality meals are (in my opinion) located in these restaurants:
Wolfgang puck express at Downtown Disney (I prefer the east location, near Carousel)
Earl of Sandwich (though not the best bang for your buck)
Hollywood Studios - Fairfax Fare
Magic Kingdom - Cosmic Ray's
I remember when I was new to Disney World. I went to Cosmic Ray's at MK and ordered something. It wasn't until future visits that I realized that Cosmic Ray's had THREE separate ordering Bays, with THREE separate menu boards. You could get Chicken/Pork at one Bay, Burgers/Hot Dogs at a second Bay, Sandwiches at a third Bay. There's an animated character called Sonny Eclipse who appears often to put on a little show. He's cute. Here's the menu (

Also at MK, I like Pecos Bill's. They have a toppings bar that is quite big. Columbia Harbor House in Liberty Square has a really great white tuna sandwich that is a cut above. For your snack credit, try the Dole Whip that people love. It's at Aloha Isle in Adventureland. People also adore the ice cream/cookie sandwich at Main Street Bakery.
I agree that WPE and EoS at DTD are probably the best QS places on Disney property. You can't go wrong at either place.
At DHS, I like Starring Rolls. They have nice sandwiches and great desserts. Also Backlot Express, which has refillable self-serve drinks. I can't think of a snack that stands out, but one place I love to go is the Writer's Stop next to Sci Fi Dine-In. It's a great "coffee house" with light snack selections
AK, everyone recommends Flame Tree BBQ. I agree. Favorite snack credit item for me is the Jalapeno Cheese stuffed Pretzel, at Safari Pretzel near It's Tough To Be a Bug on Discovery Island.
At Epcot, all the QS places are interesting. Look over the menus to see what appeals to you. In the am, coming in to Epcot, we always stop in The Land building. Get your Soarin' fastpasses there, then stop in to Sunshine Seasons for a great array of food and snack choices. Nearby building is Club Cool by Coca Cola, with free self-serve sodas from around the world. Highly recommend "Beverly" from Italy. Make sure you have your camera out, to get your friend's reaction to it.
In the Epcot World Showcase, you can get the Jalapeno Cheese Pretzel at Fife and Drum at the American Pavilion. In Japan, people adore the Kaki Gori shave ice with fruit syrups for a snack credit. In France, don't miss the Boulangerie Patisserie. There's a ton of pastries there, for 1 snack credit. I love the Kringla Bakeri og Cafe in Norway, which has Norwegian pastries.
The snack items that are on the dining plan will have a little colored symbol next to them. When you arrive at your resort, look around the food court and you'll see the little symbols. Later, you'll notice them at the park food outlets. If you have a question about a food item being on your plan, ask. The CMs are glad to help. You'll start to understand it all in no time.
This is a great source of menus, pictures and reviews.
