Good morning DISers,

I'm taking my daughter (10) to Universal and IOA in october and it will be our first time.
We are basically staying at a Disney hotel but would really like to do at least 2, possibly 3 days at Universal. We LOVE big coasters and my daughter loves a lot of the characters that I have seen pictures of walking around the park.
We don't want to be rushed and we want to get most things done some probably a couple of times!

Would you recommend that I get the FOTL passes I've heard people talking about or is it not worth it for that time fo year? Also what days of the week would be better? We are there for 11 nights (19th Oct - 30th Oct) and I'm thinking that I should avoid the weekends as a general rule?

Also I'm not renting a car so can anyone recommend a good way to get to the Universal parks from a Disney hotel? (Port Orleans)

Thanks so much, any advice would be greatly appreciated as I really have no clue :cool1:

October is usually pretty slow so I would wait until you arrive to decide on the Express passes...I doubt you would need them. Since Halloween Horror Nights is going on in October, I would recommend avoiding the weekends as the parks close early for HHN preparation...the Studios will close at 5pm on Thursday through Sunday nights.

As far as transportation goes...I would check with Mears for getting to/from Universal. You would need to make arrangements 24 hours in advance but they will pick you up at your hotel and take you right to Universal. Here is the website: www.mearstransporation.com

If you have any other questions, please do not hestitate to ask.
