We are heading to DL for the last week of April, this will be our first time going without children! Any tips/tricks or must dos?

Thanks in advance :)

Have you eaten waterside at Blue Bayou? Dh did that one trip that my mom was along....we had a nice meal while dd and my mom did other things....though they did ride through the ride while we were eating so we could wave at each other :)

You know what? Just relax. Move slow. Enjoy your time together. We found that at first we seemed to be going at the 'get it done' pace that we were used to with kids, trying to fit in everyone's favourites. Then we realized that we didn't have to do that. We only had to please ourselves. We could travel 'lighter' and carry less stuff. We could sit and people watch without someone going "let's go, my turn to choose, let's ride THIS". Or worrying about getting in nap times (unless the naps are yours!).

The only thing I'd suggest is that you figure out what your own must do's are. Then think about things you don't do because of the kids. Other than that, just relax, hold hands, and have a blast!!!

I agree with Stormy. DH and I have had two kid free trips now. The best part was just taking it slower and enjoying the little things and just being together.

How about a visit to Trader Sam's? Or you could enjoy a wine or beer flight at the Sonoma Terrace in DCA? WOC, PTN, and DF! are so much easier to view without kids to worry about. If the budget allows, you could enjoy a nice meal at CCR or in the lounge, at NR or in the lounge, or at S55 or in the lounge.
Agree with all the above posters about relaxing! Share a popcorn and sit on a bench to people watch. That can be romantic and fun. :)
Check the schedule for bands and go dancing! PFF has the Royal Swing Ball on Saturday nights and there is dancing (different kinds of bands) in DtD several nights a week.

I'd suggest doing single rider lines, if you don't mind sitting separately on the rides. I hate waiting in lines for too long, so that's always my hint, haha.

Have fun on your trip!

I wouldn't. When you travel with kids you never get to be together. Enjoy riding the rides together for a change. Use FP to help avoid waiting in line. Even waiting in line is more enjoyable without the kids.
