I have been to Disney World plenty of times but making our first trip to Disneyland in February in a Good Neighbor hotel. Very Excited!

If I book through Disney's site I get the perks like Morning Hours but if I book on my own through another 3rd party site I can save $500. Is MM worth $500 I'm going Sunday-Friday So I think I would get 2 MM days. Is there any other perks that I missed that comes with the Disneyland packages?

Thanks
Ron

Unless you are staying on site in a DLR hotel, you get one Magic Morning with a 3-day or more ticket, which is only good for DL itself on specific days, not DCA. Early entry to DCA is another perk of staying at a DLR hotel.

As the DLR is more of a locals park, you can get quite a lot done in those early hours before the crowds really hit. You can also start booking Fast Passes via MaxPass once your ticket is scanned in - meaning although you can't use FP during the Magic Morning time, you can book one for pretty much bang on regular park opening time.

You'll still get a MM with a 3+ day ticket if you purchase through an authorized third party vendor, e.g. UT, aRes, Getawaytoday, AAA, LMT, etc. So go ahead and save $500 and get your MM! (You won't get a MM if you purchase at the ticket booth or if you have a military discount ticket.) And, yes, MM is worth it. With a good plan, you can get a lot done during a MM in FL and TL. There are good threads on this forum with strategies for using your MM -- do a search or ask here. You will only get one MM per 3+ day ticket -- to use on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday. (Always double check the dates/times because Disney can make changes to the schedule.)

Thanks, I didn't realize it was linked to the 3+ day ticket. I thought is was linked to the hotel like Disney World is.

If you stay at a Disney resort hotel you get early entry every day. It alternates between dca and DL.

There is no perk for staying at a good neighbor hotel. They are often cheaper if you book direct through the hotel.

No, there aren't really any perks. If you are not staying at a Disney hotel, then there's really no reason to book your hotel through the Disney website. The "Good Neighbor" designation is largely meaningless. You will likely save the most money by booking your hotel directly from the hotel itself, and buying your tickets on a third-party site such as Undercover Tourist.
