first time visit questions

I booked my FP selections for my 2 Magic Kingdom days in August. We're staying off site so I could only book 30 days out and was unable to secure A&E and 7D fast passes. I've read on here about people being able get FP after their initial selections and being able to change their fp selections.

I would love to drop Space Mountain and get A&E for just my daughter and I since I know that securing it for our entire party would be impossible and she's the Frozen obsessed one, but I must be doing something wrong. Every time I try to check on FP availability for A&E it wants me to change all of my FP or select all new FP. What am I doing wrong? Is there a place that I can go to and just check to see if there are any Frozen FP available?

Also, how would I try and get 7D for my entire party of 7? Is there a strategy for securing FP for a larger party or even a place where I can see when/if any FP for 7D open up?

This is our first visit and I am having trouble navigating the MDE website and booking everything. Thanks for your help.

In fact, Select & Replace (1st option) is your best shot. It disregard whatever you have booked before and find what is available on the whole day for you.

I got my A&E using this option. e.g. if a A&E FP is available at 12:30 - 01:30 but you already have a Space Mountain FP at 01:00 - 02:00 then if you use change (2nd option) it will not show up in the result screen.

I just work my other FPs around the hard to get A&E FP starting from scratch.

Chances of getting A&E are slim but you can check daily. If they are a must go at rope drop and RUN! No seriously walk very fast without hurting anyone. The line will only get longer throughout the day and even at closing it will still be extremely long. If you can eat breakfast at Crystal Place before the park opens and be out before the park opens that would be ideal.

I was able to get one for myself that way, but then it wouldn't let me copy in my daughter. So now I have a PF for A&E for me, but not my daughter plus my other two FP times are not the same as the rest of my party. How they have MDE set up is beyond frustrating since you can't just change one FP at a time for a different FP item and have to pick all three to change one. Now I'm wondering what my chances are of copying in my daughter at a different time? Should I keep trying to copy her in or just scrap that and start all over in the Select and Replace screen?
