Well, so the rain was worse than I expected, but still not that bad. It never rained hard, but it also just never stopped. A poncho did the trick though. The worst of the wetness came from Splash Mountain, not the rain. That thing is a menace!![]()
We LOVED the rain because of how many rides we were able to enjoy throughout the weekend with minimal waits. We had ponchos, so we weren’t too terribly uncomfortable, either. It was our first time doing Disney in the rain, and I’m glad we were able to experience it. The crowds were quite low in DL to the point that we were able to do several Fantasyland rides twice in a row, Buzz Lightyear twice, and Splash Mountain a couple times in a row, Pooh twice in a row, plus any and all other attractions we wanted were virtual walk-ons, aside from the headliners. For those, we used MaxPass, so we never really waited for anything at all. Late Saturday night was pretty empty, relatively speaking, and all day Sunday was equally mellow. We were afraid that crowds would be crazy since it was the opening weekend of Food & Wine, plus WOC had just reopened, and there was a mini Gay day scheduled for Saturday at DL. What a pleasant surprise!
